Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: Helps source late-1940s home-movie material for suburban summer, leisure, swimwear, or informal family-life sequences.
Period detail: The red swimsuit, life-ring float, brick house, picket fence, and rounded blue car may show mid-century American suburban details.
Home-movie behavior: A young woman poses barefoot on a lawn, lifts a life-ring float, and waves directly to the home-movie camera.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include a woman in a red swimsuit, a white and red life ring, grass, a low fence, a brick house, and a blue car in a driveway.
Film character: The 8mm image has saturated color, soft focus, handheld framing, visible grain, and exposure shifts typical of scanned home-movie film.
Edit role: An editor could use this as a brief memory beat, summer cutaway, leisure insert, or transition into a family or suburban recreation scene.
Historical context: The scene presents casual outdoor leisure in a residential yard, with swimwear and a life-ring prop suggesting summertime recreation.
Research note: A recognizable person and residential exterior are visible, so likeness and property context should be reviewed separately from film copyright status.
Research search match: Relevant searches include 1940s 8mm woman waving, Middletown Pennsylvania home movie, vintage swimsuit lawn, and life-ring float backyard footage.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent shots from the same reel, then with Middletown or 1947 home movies, then with summer recreation or suburban family footage.
