Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: Useful for 1970s Washington, DC recreation or public-service Americana edits needing brief home-movie footage of a uniformed policeman in an informal leisure setting.
Period detail: The uniform styling, soft black-and-white 8mm look, paved course, fencing, and 1975 metadata support a mid-1970s outdoor recreational scene in Washington, DC.
Home-movie behavior: The clip has candid home-movie value as the uniformed man walks the course, handles a club, bends toward the putting area, and appears to acknowledge the camera.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include a uniformed man, golf club, paved mini-golf surface, dark frame edges, low barriers, fence railings, leafless trees, and distant water or open space.
Film character: The footage carries 8mm archive texture through soft focus, gate shadowing, exposure variation, visible grain, and a slightly obscured handheld or filmed-through opening viewpoint.
Edit role: An editor could use this as a short cutaway, humorous memory beat, or transition within sequences about 1970s leisure, police presence, tourism, or casual public spaces.
Historical context: The scene visually places an official uniform within a relaxed recreational setting, suggesting everyday civic life rather than a formal police action.
Research note: People and a police uniform are visible, so likeness, context, and uniform depiction should be reviewed separately from footage copyright or collection licensing.
Research search match: Likely researcher matches include 1975 Washington DC home movie policeman mini golf, 8mm uniformed man playing golf, and 1970s recreation footage police officer.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent shots from the same reel, then other 1975 Washington, DC footage, then broader clips of 1970s recreation, public spaces, or uniformed workers off duty.
