Softball Pitcher Serves Up A Pitch To Awaiting Batter — Clip Details

Shot on 8mm film in 1959, this vintage home movie captures a youth softball game in Kansas City, Missouri. A pitcher in a white shirt and green shorts winds up and throws the ball to a batter in a red shirt, with a catcher crouched behind home plate. The scene unfolds on a grassy field with white bleachers and a chain-link fence in the background under a clear blue sky. The footage exhibits classic Super 8 film grain and color saturation, offering authentic retro Americana footage for documentaries, nostalgic content, or historical projects.
