Shot on 8mm film in 1959, this vintage home movie captures a young boy in a white short-sleeved shirt leaning over a birthday cake with lit candles, blowing them out. Another child in a plaid shirt watches from the side. The scene takes place at a table with a patterned tablecloth, paper plates, and cups, with a window featuring horizontal blinds in the background. The footage shows natural film grain and slight color fading, characteristic of mid-century home movies.
