PAPUA NEW GUINEA-1944: Children and adults walk across a cleared, muddy area near a body of water, carrying long poles. The scene shows a large pile of chopped wood and debris, with wooden posts standing in the background. Shot on 8mm film, the footage has a grainy, faded quality with warm, aged colors, capturing a moment of daily life in a rural setting. The subjects wear simple clothing, and the overall mood is one of quiet activity and survival in a tropical environment.
