Jefferson And Washington Monuments With Cherry Blossoms — Clip Details

Shot on 8mm film in 1943, this vintage home movie captures the Jefferson Memorial and Washington Monument in Washington DC, framed by blooming cherry blossom trees. The footage shows the iconic neoclassical dome of the Jefferson Memorial in the foreground, with the tall obelisk of the Washington Monument visible in the distance. The cherry blossoms are in full bloom, their pink and white flowers creating a soft, dreamy foreground against the pale sky. The film exhibits classic Super 8 characteristics: warm color tones, slight grain, and natural film imperfections. This archival footage offers a nostalgic glimpse of mid-20th century Washington DC, perfect for historical documentaries, editorial content, or nostalgic projects.
