Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: Useful for 1940s postwar Paris sports requests needing authentic 8mm football stadium action for documentary, museum, education or editorial sequences.
Period detail: The monochrome 8mm view shows classic football kits, an open grass pitch and packed stadium seating, consistent with the supplied 1947 Paris metadata.
Home-movie behavior: The footage has a spectator-shot vantage from the stands, following play across the field rather than presenting staged or broadcast-style coverage.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include football players, a marked pitch, stadium stands, seated spectators, bright daylight, long shadows and intermittent frame-edge obstruction.
Film character: The clip carries a physical 8mm texture with soft focus, visible grain, slight motion blur, uneven exposure and dark vertical gate or contact-sheet borders.
Edit role: An editor could use it as a brief sports insert, postwar recreation cutaway, Paris memory beat or transition into a sequence about public leisure.
Historical context: The crowd and organized match visually suggest public sporting life in Paris during the late 1940s, without identifying the teams, venue or event.
Research note: People are visible at distance, so likeness and event identification should be reviewed separately from copyright or source-film licensing questions.
Research search match: Likely matches searches for 1947 Paris football match 8mm footage, postwar French stadium crowd, vintage soccer players on field and archival sports home movie.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with other footage from the same reel, then with 1947 Paris material, then with broader 1940s European sports or stadium crowd scenes.
