Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: 1970s 8mm nature and travel footage for documentary edits needing a quiet lakeshore solitude moment in Montana.
Period detail: The man's light shirt, jeans, and soft 8mm color may show early 1970s casual outdoor recreation, consistent with the 1972 metadata.
Home-movie behavior: The value is an unstaged home-movie view of one adult standing still at the water's edge and looking across the lake.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include a lone man, rocky shoreline, calm lake water, evergreen forest, reflected trees, and dark film-frame borders.
Film character: The clip has soft 8mm color, visible grain, mild exposure variation, and a steady home-movie composition that reads as physical-film texture.
Edit role: An editor could use it as a calm insert, transitional landscape beat, or reflective memory cutaway in a travel or family-history sequence.
Historical context: The scene documents leisure viewing at a forested Montana lake without supporting claims about named events or broader local history.
Research note: A person is visible from behind, so copyright, likeness, and location context should be reviewed separately before final use.
Research search match: Useful search matches include 1970s 8mm Montana lake, Holland Lake home movie, man by water, forest lake shoreline, and vintage outdoor footage.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent shots from the same reel, then Holland Lake or Montana 1972 material, then broader 1970s lake and wilderness travel scenes.
