Historical Marker For Two Saloons Built About 1852 — Clip Details

MAINE USA-1971: A vintage 8mm home movie captures a historical marker shaped like a small house, mounted on a stone wall. The sign reads 'Two Saloons Built about 1852' and details the history of 'The Jug Saloon' in Volcano, noting it was the last to operate in a building that once housed over 35 saloons for miners. The scene transitions to a view from a window, showing a rural landscape with a stop sign, a cannon monument, and forested hills under a partly cloudy sky. The footage exhibits classic 8mm film grain and color saturation, evoking a nostalgic, archival feel.
