Yellow School Bus on City Street — Clip Details

Shot on 8mm film in 1970, this vintage home movie captures a bustling street scene in Washington DC. A yellow school bus drives down a multi-lane road lined with classic American cars from the era. The iconic neoclassical architecture of a government building, likely the Library of Congress, dominates the left side of the frame. The footage, viewed through a window with dark framing, shows a typical rush hour with traffic moving under an overcast sky. The film exhibits natural grain, slight color fading, and minor damage, authenticating its archival quality. The final frame shifts to a statue, suggesting a tour of the city's landmarks. This clip offers a nostalgic glimpse into daily life in the nation's capital during the 1970s.
