A grainy black and white 8mm home movie from 1938 captures a group of men gathered around a campfire in a wooded, rocky area. Several men in hats and period clothing, including one in a plaid jacket, stand and sit near the fire, some appearing to cook or tend to the flames. The footage shows natural movement and interaction among the group, with one man crouching on a rock. The scene evokes a sense of rustic outdoor life and camaraderie from the late 1930s.
