Harvested Farm Field With Corn Husk Teepee And... — Clip Details

Shot on 8mm film in 1984, this vintage home movie captures a whimsical autumn scene in a California farm field. A handmade scarecrow with a painted pumpkin head, complete with a mustache and eyebrows, stands in a harvested field. The figure wears a blue shirt, jeans, and a patterned scarf, positioned near a rustic teepee constructed from corn husks. Pumpkins rest at the base of the structure, and the warm, nostalgic color palette evokes classic Americana. The footage features natural film grain and slight camera movement, offering authentic archival footage for documentaries, nostalgic content, or seasonal projects.

Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: Useful for 1980s California farm or autumn-season requests needing authentic 8mm home-movie cutaways of rural decorative display.
Period detail: The 1984 metadata is supported by the clip record, while the visible field, handmade pumpkin scarecrow, and corn-husk structure suggest seasonal rural display rather than a specific event.
Home-movie behavior: The footage has a casual visitor or family-film perspective, lingering on a handmade field decoration without staged action or visible people.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include a harvested field, corn-husk teepee, pumpkins, painted pumpkin-headed scarecrow, blue shirt, jeans, scarf, and distant farm buildings.
Film character: The 8mm scan shows soft focus, visible grain, muted color, slight exposure variation, and handheld framing that preserve the home-movie texture.
Edit role: An editor could use this as an autumn insert, rural transition, seasonal memory beat, or visual cutaway within a farm-life sequence.
Historical context: The clip documents small-scale seasonal folk decoration in a farm setting, showing handmade materials and Halloween or harvest imagery without visible participants.
Research note: No people, logos, or audible music are flagged, but copyright and any location or property permissions should still be reviewed for the intended use.
Research search match: Research matches include 1984 8mm California farm field, pumpkin scarecrow home movie, autumn harvest decoration footage, and corn husk teepee cutaway.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent same-reel farm scenes, then other 1984 California rural footage, then broader autumn harvest or handmade decoration material.
