A vintage 8mm film clip from California in 1981 captures a historical reenactment parade on a sunny day. Soldiers in dark blue Civil War-era Union uniforms march in formation down a city street, carrying muskets. Spectators of all ages line the sidewalks, watching the procession. A man dressed as Abraham Lincoln in a top hat and black suit walks prominently in the foreground. The scene is set against mid-century buildings and bare winter trees under a clear blue sky, with the characteristic grain and color palette of 8mm home movie footage.
