Coyote Walking Through Forest Grass — Clip Details

Vintage 8mm home movie footage from 1980 showing a coyote walking through tall green grass in a forested area of Grand Teton, Wyoming. The animal moves steadily from right to left across the frame, its light tan fur contrasting with the lush vegetation. The footage exhibits classic Super 8 grain, slight motion blur, and natural outdoor lighting, capturing a candid moment of wildlife in its natural habitat. The dark forest edge forms a backdrop, with the coyote's alert posture and steady gait suggesting it is patrolling or foraging. This authentic, unscripted wildlife observation offers a nostalgic glimpse into 1980s amateur film documentation of nature.

Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: 1980s 8mm wildlife footage for productions needing an authentic home-movie view of a coyote moving through forest grass in Grand Teton, Wyoming.
Period detail: The 1980 date is supported by metadata, while the visible era clues are mainly the soft 8mm color, grain, and contact-print texture rather than identifiable objects.
Home-movie behavior: The clip has the value of an unstaged visitor wildlife observation, with the camera holding on the animal as it crosses through tall grass.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include a coyote, tall green grass, scattered stones, a dark forest edge, leafy undergrowth, and soft natural daylight.
Film character: The footage shows 8mm grain, muted color, slight blur, and uneven exposure that give the wildlife moment a physical home-movie texture.
Edit role: Editors can use this as a wildlife cutaway, natural-history insert, travel-memory beat, or quiet transition within a Grand Teton or western landscape sequence.
Historical context: The clip documents a brief amateur wildlife encounter in a forested Wyoming setting without showing people, vehicles, buildings, or public events.
Research note: No people, logos, or private property are visible, but users should still assess copyright, wildlife context, and location use separately from likeness or property concerns.
Research search match: Useful search matches include 1980s 8mm coyote footage, Grand Teton wildlife home movie, Wyoming forest animal, and vintage Super 8 nature cutaway.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with the same reel, then other 1980 Grand Teton or Wyoming footage, then broader vintage wildlife and forest travel material.
