Ducks Feeding In A Forest Pond — Clip Details

Vintage 8mm home movie footage from the Western USA in 1980 captures a serene pond surrounded by dense forest. The grainy, slightly faded color palette features a prominent purple-blue water tone and golden-green foliage. Dark, round shapes emerge from the water's surface, creating concentric ripples, suggesting ducks or other waterfowl feeding. The footage exhibits classic Super 8 film characteristics including visible grain, soft focus, and natural camera shake, evoking a nostalgic, authentic 1980s home movie aesthetic.

Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: Useful for 1980s United States nature or home-movie sequences needing a quiet pond cutaway with feeding waterfowl behavior.
Period detail: The frames may show early 1980s amateur 8mm color footage, with no visible signs, buildings, clothing, or landmarks to narrow the date or place beyond supplied metadata.
Home-movie behavior: The clip has an unstaged observer's view of pond wildlife, held at a distance as ripples spread across the water.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include purple-blue pond water, dark waterfowl shapes, concentric ripples, forest reflections, shoreline grasses, and dense golden-green foliage.
Film character: The footage carries a soft 8mm texture with visible grain, faded color, slight exposure variation, and a contact-sheet presentation from scanned film.
Edit role: An editor could use it as a nature insert, quiet transition, wildlife cutaway, or reflective memory beat in a Western USA home-movie sequence.
Historical context: The scene reflects recreational or domestic filming of local wildlife and forest water scenery, without visible people or built environment.
Research note: No people, logos, or private property are visible, but copyright, source ownership, and species or location identification should still be checked.
