Vintage 8mm footage from Khartoum, Sudan, in 1969 captures a group of Black men and boys outdoors in a dry, savanna-like setting with acacia trees. Dressed in traditional white shirts and colorful checkered or patterned wrap skirts, they stand in a line, clapping rhythmically and swaying in unison. The film shows slight motion blur and natural film grain, with warm, faded colors typical of 8mm home movie footage. The group appears engaged in a cultural or communal dance, with some individuals smiling and others focused on the movement. The scene is candid and joyful, offering a rare glimpse into daily life and celebration in late 1960s Sudan.
