A Cub Rhinoceros Is Standing Beside Its Mother In — Clip Details

Vintage 8mm film footage from Pretoria, South Africa, 1969, captures a young rhinoceros cub standing in a grassy field beside its mother. Archive brief fit: Useful for documentary or educational requests needing 1960s South African wildlife footage of a rhinoceros calf with an adult in a grassy enclosure or field.
Period detail: The 8mm color stock, soft focus, and dark frame edges support a late-1960s home-movie look, with Pretoria and 1969 supplied by clip metadata.
Home-movie behavior: The framing suggests a visitor or traveler filming from a fixed viewpoint, possibly through a vehicle or viewing barrier, as the young rhinoceros faces the camera.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include a rhinoceros calf, part of an adult rhinoceros, tall green grass, bright sunlight, dark vertical frame edges, and 8mm contact-print borders.
Film character: The footage has visible grain, mild color fading, soft exposure, and slight frame instability that read as original 8mm home-movie texture.
Edit role: An editor could use this as a brief wildlife insert, travel-memory cutaway, or transition into material on South African animal reserves or family travel.
Historical context: The scene visually documents a tourist-era encounter with large African wildlife near Pretoria without showing people, signage, or identifiable facilities.
Research note: No people, logos, or private interiors are visible, but wildlife-location claims and any access or property context should be verified separately from copyright clearance.
