Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: 1950s California home-movie pool and excursion footage for documentaries needing brief family-leisure or travel-memory inserts.
Period detail: The swimwear, white summer hats, and small passenger-vessel doorway may show early-1950s leisure travel and pool recreation.
Home-movie behavior: The camera observes swimmers from above and then a crowd stepping off a boat, preserving candid family or vacation movement rather than staged action.
What appears in frame: Blue pool water, several swimmers, a white vessel or building entrance, summer hats, crowded steps, faces, and dark film leader are visible.
Film character: The 8mm scan has soft focus, visible grain, slight color shift, uneven exposure, and handheld framing consistent with amateur home-movie material.
Edit role: Editors can use it as a quick memory beat, summer recreation cutaway, or transition from swimming to group travel activity.
Historical context: The clip reflects mid-century leisure imagery with pool activity and a group arriving or departing through a boat-like doorway, without identifying a specific venue.
Research note: People and a visible emblem require review for likeness, trademark, and location identification, while copyright status remains separate from those permissions.
Research search match: Useful for searches such as 1952 California 8mm swimming pool, vintage home movie swimmers, 1950s vacation crowd, and family travel boat footage.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent reel material, then with California 1952 clips, and then with other 1950s swimming, summer holiday, or passenger-boat scenes.
