Black-and-white vintage 8mm film footage from Washington USA in 1940 captures a snowy mountain ski resort. A rustic lodge with a prominent gabled roof stands at the base of a snow-covered slope, surrounded by dense evergreen trees. Skiers in period winter attire gather on the slopes, with some standing still and others moving down the hill. The grainy, high-contrast image shows classic 1940s home movie quality with visible film edges and natural motion. The scene evokes a nostalgic, cold winter atmosphere of early recreational skiing in the Pacific Northwest.
