Vintage 8mm home movie footage from California, USA, in 1937, showing a man in overalls and a cap operating a fire hydrant in a rural field. Two other men, one in a suit and hat and a young boy, stand nearby observing. An early 1930s open-top automobile is parked beside them. In the background, a grain elevator and farm buildings stand under a clear sky, with power lines stretching across the horizon. The grainy black-and-white footage captures a moment of rural life with authentic period clothing and technology.
