Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: Useful for 1960s Americana requests needing a brief motel poolside leisure moment, especially documentary inserts about travel, recreation, summer vacations, or home-movie memory.
Period detail: The swimsuit, metal lounge chair, chain-link pool fence, patio furniture, and low motel facade support a mid-century leisure setting consistent with the supplied 1963 Memphis metadata.
Home-movie behavior: The woman appears casually filmed as she walks to a lounge chair, picks up a purse or small bag, and checks its contents in an unstaged poolside moment.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include a woman in a patterned swimsuit, green metal lounge chair, purse or bag, chain-link fence, patio chairs, motel doors, blue-green exterior walls, and bright sun.
Film character: The 8mm scan shows soft focus, visible grain, blue color shift, gate edges, and slight motion blur that preserve the texture of original amateur home-movie footage.
Edit role: An editor could use this as a short cutaway, memory beat, or transition for mid-century travel, motel recreation, poolside leisure, or personal vacation sequences.
Historical context: The scene reflects a casual motel or poolside leisure environment, showing how personal cameras recorded everyday recreation and travel rather than formal public events.
Research note: A visible adult face and likely private likeness require review; copyright, likeness, and any property concerns should be assessed separately before publication or commercial use.
Research search match: Matches searches for 1963 Memphis 8mm home movie poolside woman, vintage motel swimming pool footage, 1960s swimsuit vacation scene, and retro lounge chair cutaway.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent shots from the same reel, then other 1963 Memphis or Tennessee home movies, then broader 1960s motel, pool, vacation, and leisure footage.
