Woman Holding Puppy In Suburban Backyard — Clip Details

Vintage 8mm home movie footage from Yorba Linda, California, 1962, showing a woman in a patterned blouse gently holding a small black puppy in a sunlit suburban backyard. The scene captures a quiet moment of affection between the woman and the pet, with green grass, a wooden picnic table, and a house visible in the background. The film exhibits classic Super 8 grain, warm color saturation, and natural lighting, evoking a nostalgic mid-century American family life. Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: Supports requests for early 1960s Southern California home-movie material showing suburban family life, pets, and backyard domestic scenes for documentary or educational use.
Period detail: The patterned blouse, lawn furniture, fenced yard, and low suburban houses may show mid-century residential life in Yorba Linda, California, as dated by the clip metadata.
Home-movie behavior: The footage records an unstaged affectionate moment as a woman bends close to a small black puppy, followed by a casual neighborhood yard view from the same home-movie reel.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include a woman holding a puppy, green lawn, wooden picnic table, backyard plantings, fences, neighboring houses, rooflines, and blue sky.
Film character: The 8mm scan has warm color, visible grain, edge shadowing, uneven exposure, and brief dark frames that preserve the texture of physical home-movie film.
Edit role: An editor could use this as a short memory beat, pet cutaway, suburban backyard insert, or transition from intimate family action to a wider neighborhood view.
Historical context: The clip offers visual context for pet ownership and backyard leisure in a California suburb without making claims beyond the visible home-movie scene.
Research note: A woman is visible and may require likeness review, while the residential exterior and yard should be assessed separately from copyright clearance.
Research search match: Useful for searches such as 1960s Yorba Linda home movie puppy, 8mm suburban backyard woman with dog, and California family pet footage.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent shots from the same reel, then with other 1962 Yorba Linda material, then with broader 1960s suburbs, pets, and backyard life footage.
