Slot Machine with Jackpot Display — Clip Details

Vintage 8mm home movie footage from 1977 in Las Vegas, capturing a classic casino slot machine with its illuminated display showing a $56,003.10 jackpot and a winning 7777 combination. The grainy, warm-toned film captures the machine's red, yellow, and blue lights against a dark background, with a brief glimpse of people walking on the street outside. Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: Suits a 1970s Las Vegas segment or period documentary needing an authentic casino-floor close-up from the pre-video-slot era.
Period detail: The electromechanical slot machine display, paytable typography, and illuminated Super Jackpot signage are consistent with late-1970s Nevada gaming equipment design.
Home-movie behavior: A vacationer filmed the jackpot readout directly, documenting the dollar amount as personal proof of a casino visit rather than capturing staged gameplay.
What appears in frame: All four frames show a lit slot machine display panel, a jackpot dollar readout, a 7777 winning combination indicator, a paytable chart, a RED ARROW label, a reel window with a 7 symbol, colored symbol discs, and surrounding casino darkness.
Film character: Shot on 8mm in low ambient casino light, the footage shows visible grain, mild overexposure on the white display panels, and slight handheld drift consistent with casual vacation filming.
Edit role: Works as a tight cutaway or period detail insert within a 1970s Las Vegas sequence, or as an opening close-up before wider casino establishing shots.
Historical context: The Super Jackpot display format and mechanical paytable reflect late-1970s Nevada gaming machine design, before video screens replaced electromechanical displays on casino floors.
Research note: Text and branding on the machine face, including the RED ARROW label, may constitute a trademark; clip metadata flags people visible elsewhere in the clip, requiring independent likeness review before editorial use.
Research search match: 1970s slot machine footage, Las Vegas 1977 casino floor, vintage jackpot display 8mm, electromechanical slot machine archive, 1970s Nevada gambling.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with other footage from this same Las Vegas 1977 reel; then with 1970s Nevada casino interiors; then with 1970s American leisure or gambling documentary sequences.
