Baxter Maine USA-1975: Blue Dressed Woman With 80's Haircut In Living Room

Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit

This clip supports archival requests for 1970s American domestic home-movie footage, especially interior holiday-adjacent living room inserts and memory sequences involving an adult woman in a private home.

Period detail

Visible period clues include an 8mm home-movie look, a compact television or stereo component, a red Christmas stocking, patterned clothing, a long blue skirt or dress, and striped living room seating that may show mid-1970s domestic decor.

Home-movie behavior

The footage has an unstaged family-film quality as the camera follows the woman standing near household electronics and then sitting on a sofa in a private living room.

What appears in frame

Across the frames, the clip shows an adult woman, a patterned blouse, a long dark blue skirt or dress, a striped sofa, household audio or television equipment, a red Christmas stocking, curtains, and a wrapped or patterned box-like object.

Film character

The 8mm scan carries visible grain, soft focus, color shift toward blue and magenta, uneven exposure, and handheld framing that preserve the texture of a physical home-movie source.

Edit role

An editor could use this as a brief domestic insert, holiday interior cutaway, family-memory beat, or transition into a 1970s private-home sequence.

Historical context

The scene documents everyday private-home interiors and clothing styles in Baxter, Maine, in 1975 as represented by family-shot footage rather than a public or news event.

Research note

An adult person and a private interior are visible, so likeness and property review may be needed separately from any copyright assessment, and the flagged audible music should be checked before reuse.
