Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: Useful for 1950s Cuba documentary edits needing a brief home-movie view of small motorboat travel and waterfront activity.
Period detail: The sailor-style white uniform, compact cabin motorboat, and 8mm color stock support a mid-1950s leisure or transport scene in Cuba.
Home-movie behavior: The camera observes from above as the man handles the boat, giving the clip an unstaged visitor-shot view of everyday maritime movement.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include a green cabin motorboat, a man in a white sailor cap, dark water, wake, mooring line, nearby boat edges, and film-frame borders.
Film character: The footage has visible 8mm grain, soft focus, slight color fading, uneven exposure, and handheld framing that preserve its physical home-movie texture.
Edit role: An editor could use this as a waterfront insert, travel transition, transportation cutaway, or short memory beat in a Cuba or 1950s sequence.
Historical context: The clip shows small-boat operation on calm water, reflecting mid-century waterfront mobility without identifying a specific harbor or event.
Research note: A visible adult face and uniform may require likeness review; no logos are apparent, and copyright clearance is separate from identity rights.
Research search match: Research matches include 1956 Cuba 8mm motorboat, sailor on green cabin boat, mid-century home movie waterfront, and Cuban water transport footage.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent same-reel Cuba travel shots, then other 1956 Cuba waterfront material, then broader 1950s boating and maritime transport scenes.
