Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: 1970s Colorado resort-pool home-movie footage can support documentary or editorial requests for summer leisure, travel lodging, and vacation behavior in the American mountain West.
Period detail: The frames show era cues including a mid-century modern hotel exterior, yellow balcony panels, 1970s-looking parked cars, molded pool furniture, and Super 8 color rendering.
Home-movie behavior: The clip has unstaged home-movie value in the casual movement of a woman leaving the pool area while the camera follows from a vacationer's viewpoint.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include a swimming pool, concrete deck, stone wall, lounge chairs, patio tables, a hotel building with balconies, parked cars, mountains, and a woman in a black swimsuit.
Film character: The footage carries authentic 8mm texture with visible grain, soft focus, uneven exposure, mild color shift, and handheld framing across the contact-sheet frames.
Edit role: An editor could use this as a brief memory beat, resort cutaway, leisure insert, or transition between travel and poolside vacation scenes.
Historical context: The scene documents informal resort leisure in Colorado in 1973 through clothing, pool design, motel-style architecture, and the mountain setting without establishing a named property.
Research note: A person is visible and the hotel or resort is identifiable by appearance, so likeness and property-review considerations should be checked separately from copyright status.
Research search match: Useful search matches include 1973 Colorado resort pool home movie, 1970s woman swimsuit walking, Super 8 mountain hotel vacation, and vintage swimming pool leisure footage.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent shots from the same reel, then with other Colorado 1973 resort or mountain-travel footage, and then with broader 1970s summer vacation and swimming-pool material.
