Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: 1970s Colorado home-movie resort footage suited for documentary inserts about leisure travel, motel stays, mountain vacations, or period roadside tourism.
Period detail: The parked cars, green pool loungers, stone retaining wall, and modernist multi-story building may show early-1970s resort or motel design and travel culture.
Home-movie behavior: The camera observes the setting from a casual visitor viewpoint, moving from poolside details toward the parking area, building, and mountain backdrop rather than staging a formal scene.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include a blue swimming pool, metal pool ladder, green lounge chairs, a stone wall, parked cars, a multi-story building, lamp posts, and forested mountains under a bright sky.
Film character: The 8mm scan carries saturated color, soft focus, mild exposure variation, visible grain, and slight handheld instability typical of amateur vacation footage.
Edit role: An editor could use this as a brief establishing cutaway, transition, or memory beat linking resort leisure with Colorado mountain scenery.
Historical context: The clip visually situates leisure travel around a poolside lodging complex set near mountain terrain, with period automobiles and outdoor amenities anchoring the scene in everyday vacation life.
Research note: People are flagged visible and the lodging property is identifiable as a place, so likeness and property considerations should be reviewed separately from copyright status.
Research search match: Search matches include 1970s Colorado resort pool, vintage 8mm mountain motel, home movie vacation lodging, classic cars parking lot, and Super 8 poolside travel footage.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent shots from the same reel, then with other 1973 Colorado travel footage, and then with broader 1970s resort, poolside, roadside lodging, or mountain vacation material.
