Coastal Scene With Lighthouse And Ocean View — Clip Details

Vintage 8mm home movie footage from Spain in 1972, showing a serene coastal scene with a stone lighthouse structure on the right and the deep blue ocean stretching to the horizon. The film exhibits a distinct purple color cast and classic Super 8 grain, with visible film scratches and edge damage. White concrete steps descend toward the water, bordered by dark foliage. The camera remains mostly static, capturing the quiet beauty of the seaside landscape under an overcast sky, evoking a nostalgic, retro atmosphere.

Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: Useful for archival requests needing early 1970s Spanish coastal home-movie atmosphere as an editorial cutaway, travel-memory insert, or seaside establishing detail.
Period detail: The frames may show a 1972 visitor view of a Spanish coast, with white concrete seaside steps, dark foliage, a stone lighthouse-like structure, and an open ocean horizon visible in period 8mm color.
Home-movie behavior: The clip carries an unstaged visitor-shot perspective, holding quietly on the coastline rather than presenting a guided or commercial view.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include the ocean horizon, purple-tinted sky, a stone vertical coastal structure, white stepped walls, dark shoreline foliage, terrace edges, and film-frame borders.
Film character: The footage has a purple color cast, soft 8mm grain, mild exposure variation, scratches, and gate-edge darkness that give it clear physical-film texture.
Edit role: An editor could use this as a brief coastal insert, contemplative transition, travel diary pause, or memory beat between more active Spain footage.
Historical context: The scene documents a leisure or travel viewpoint along the Spanish coast without showing identifiable people, signage, vehicles, or dated public events.
Research note: No people, faces, logos, or audible music are indicated, but copyright status and any location or property permissions should still be reviewed separately.
Research search match: Relevant researcher searches include 1972 Spain 8mm coast, Spanish seaside home movie, lighthouse ocean view, Super 8 coastal cutaway, and vintage travel shoreline footage.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with nearby shots from the same reel, then other Spain 1972 coastal material, then broader 1970s European seaside or lighthouse-view home movies.
