Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: This 1970s 8mm home-movie clip supports documentary or educational requests for leisure travel footage in Israel, with a woman aboard a boat against open water and distant mountains.
Period detail: The sleeveless top, handheld 8mm framing, and warm color reversal look are consistent with early 1970s amateur travel footage, while the boat setting and distant shoreline or mountains are the clearest visible contextual clues.
Home-movie behavior: The value is in the unstaged pause as a woman handles her glasses while seated on a boat, with the camera drifting between her and the surrounding seascape.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include a woman in a pale sleeveless top, eyeglasses in her hands, boat railings, an orange life preserver or cushion, open blue water, and distant pale mountains or shoreline.
Film character: The clip has soft 8mm grain, mild exposure variation, saturated blue water, warm skin tones, visible frame borders, and a handheld home-movie cadence.
Edit role: An editor could use it as a brief travel insert, memory beat, sea-crossing cutaway, or transition from a personal boat scene to wider landscape views.
Historical context: The footage reflects a private leisure or travel moment on the water near Tel Aviv, with the personal framing emphasizing everyday tourism rather than a formal public event.
Research note: A recognizable adult face is visible, so likeness review may be needed in addition to copyright assessment, though no logos, children, private interiors, or music are indicated in the supplied metadata.
Research search match: Likely researcher searches include 1972 Tel Aviv 8mm boat footage, Israeli home movie woman with glasses, vintage travel on water, and Super 8 sea view with distant mountains.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent shots from the same reel, then other 1972 Tel Aviv or Israel travel footage, and then broader 1970s home-movie boating, sea journey, or vacation material.
