Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: This 1970s 8mm home-movie clip supports editorial requests for Israeli vacation travel, lakeside scenery, and family boat outings with visible period atmosphere.
Period detail: The sleeveless top, plaid trousers, long hair, boat railings, and soft 8mm color may show early 1970s leisure travel style as supported by the supplied 1972 metadata.
Home-movie behavior: The footage has an unstaged visitor perspective, moving from quiet water and hills to family members standing and sitting on a boat during a casual journey.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include calm open water, hazy distant hills, a boat deck, railings, seated and standing passengers, long hair, plaid trousers, and bright daylight.
Film character: The clip carries a physical 8mm texture with soft focus, muted color, visible grain, slight exposure variation, and handheld framing across the contact-sheet frames.
Edit role: An editor could use this as a travel-memory insert, scenic transition, boat-journey cutaway, or quiet establishing beat for a 1970s family vacation sequence.
Historical context: The clip visually documents leisure travel on water in Israel in 1972 without showing identifiable landmarks or enough context to support broader historical claims.
Research note: People are visible and at least one face appears recognizable, so likeness and privacy review may be needed separately from copyright or location clearance.
Research search match: Relevant researcher searches might include 1972 Israel 8mm boat trip, Tel Aviv home movie water view, 1970s family vacation on boat, and vintage Israeli lake scenery.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent footage from the same reel, then with other 1972 Israel or Tel Aviv travel material, and finally with broader 1970s family vacation and boat-journey scenes.
