Holiday Parade Float with Candy Cane and Balloons — Clip Details

Vintage 8mm footage from Wellsburg, Iowa, in 1965 captures a festive holiday parade float moving down a snowy street. The float features a whimsical winter scene with a snow-covered brick house, icicles, and a large candy cane. As the camera pans, a colorful balloon bouquet labeled 'moon' rises above storefronts, including Elliott Jewelers and a children's shoe store. The grainy, color-bleached film and soft focus evoke a nostalgic, mid-century Americana atmosphere, with holiday decorations and neon signs illuminating the winter day.
