Man Walking Along Side Pool Outside — Clip Details

Vintage 8mm home movie footage from 1961 in San Diego, California, showing a man in a light blue shirt and dark trousers walking along the side of a pool. The scene is set at night or dusk, with a dark building featuring wooden railings and palm trees in the background. Blue lounge chairs are visible near the pool area. The footage exhibits classic Super 8 film characteristics: soft focus, natural grain, and a slightly faded color palette with prominent blue and purple tones. The man walks from left to right, captured in a candid, unposed moment typical of personal family recordings from the era.

Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: 1960s archival home-movie footage for productions needing a brief poolside walking moment in San Diego or a period vacation setting.
Period detail: The light blue shirt, dark trousers, blue lounge chairs, palm trunk, and wood-railed exterior walkway may show mid-century resort or motel poolside design.
Home-movie behavior: The clip preserves an unstaged personal-camera view of an adult man walking casually beside a pool at dusk or night.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include an adult man, pool edge, blue lounge chairs, dark exterior building, wooden railings, palm trunks, and low-light color cast.
Film character: The 8mm footage has soft focus, visible grain, handheld framing, and faded blue-purple color that reads as physical home-movie texture.
Edit role: An editor could use this as a short cutaway, transition, or memory beat for travel, vacation, motel, or poolside sequences.
Historical context: The scene gives social context through casual leisure space and poolside furniture rather than through identifiable public landmarks or events.
Research note: A visible adult face and possible private lodging or residential exterior require likeness and property review in addition to copyright clearance.
Research search match: Useful search matches include 1961 San Diego 8mm home movie poolside man walking, 1960s motel pool footage, and vintage vacation home movie lounge chairs.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent same-reel poolside material, then with San Diego or 1961 home movies, then with broader 1960s vacation and motel leisure footage.
