Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: This clip supports requests for early 1960s American leisure, hotel poolside atmosphere, and vacation home-movie inserts for documentary or educational edits.
Period detail: The woman's blouse and skirt, blue lounge chairs, palm trees, and poolside hotel setting may show mid-century resort style consistent with the supplied 1961 San Diego metadata.
Home-movie behavior: The value is in the unstaged movement of a woman walking past the pool while the camera watches from a fixed visitor perspective.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include a young woman, large swimming pool, rows of lounge chairs, palm trees, pool ladder, walkway, and a building facade behind the deck.
Film character: The footage has visible 8mm grain, soft focus, low-light exposure, and a strong purple color cast that give it recognizable home-movie texture.
Edit role: An editor could use it as a short poolside insert, vacation transition, leisure cutaway, or memory beat within a sequence about mid-century travel.
Historical context: The scene reflects a private or visitor-made view of hotel leisure culture, with the pool deck and chairs emphasizing recreation rather than a staged public event.
Research note: A visible adult face and possible hotel property features require likeness and property review, while copyright clearance remains separate from appearance-based permissions.
Research search match: Useful search matches include 1961 San Diego hotel pool home movie, 8mm woman walking poolside, 1960s resort leisure footage, and vintage vacation pool scene.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with the same reel, then with other San Diego or 1961 hotel and poolside footage, then with broader 1960s American vacation and leisure material.
