Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: This 1967 8mm home-movie clip can support archival requests for rustic camping, outdoor shelter construction, and wooded recreation settings in the American Northwest.
Period detail: The visible rough log lean-to, plank roof, pine clearing, and faded 8mm color may show mid-1960s outdoor recreation or survival-camp material without identifying a specific event.
Home-movie behavior: The footage has the observational value of a visitor-held camera pausing on a handmade shelter rather than a staged building demonstration.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include horizontal log walls, crossed branch bracing, vertical tree trunks, a sloped plank roof, rocks or low mounds on dirt, grass, and surrounding pine woods.
Film character: The clip carries soft handheld 8mm texture, visible grain, slight color fading, uneven exposure, and contact-print softness that place the scene in a physical home-movie archive.
Edit role: An editor could use this as a brief cutaway, outdoor-life insert, location transition, or memory beat between broader camping or state-park scenes.
Historical context: The scene provides visual context for informal outdoor structures and wooded recreation spaces at Farragut State Park, Idaho, as represented in home-movie footage from 1967.
Research note: No people, children, logos, or audible music are indicated, but copyright status and any property or park-use context should still be reviewed separately from likeness concerns.
Research search match: Likely researcher searches include 1967 8mm Idaho state park lean-to shelter, rustic log structure in woods, vintage camping shelter footage, and Farragut State Park home movie.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent shots from the same reel, then other 1967 Farragut State Park footage, then broader 1960s camping, outdoor recreation, and rustic shelter material.
