Boy Scouts Cultivating Ground with Tools — Clip Details

Vintage 8mm footage from 1967 at Farragut State Park, Idaho, shows a group of Boy Scouts in green uniforms and red shirts working together in a grassy, wooded clearing. The boys use shovels and hoes to cultivate the dry ground, some bending low while others stand and observe. The scene captures a classic mid-century outdoor scouting activity with natural lighting, film grain, and slight motion blur typical of home movie footage. The setting is a forested hillside with scattered trees and dry vegetation, evoking a sense of community service and outdoor education from the 1960s.
