Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: Useful for 1950s American home-movie requests needing a brief backyard leisure moment with an adult woman sunbathing for documentary, museum, education, or memory-sequence use.
Period detail: The patterned swimsuit, metal-framed lawn chair, saturated grass, and handheld 8mm color look support a mid-1950s suburban leisure setting in Hatfield, Pennsylvania as provided by the clip metadata.
Home-movie behavior: The woman appears relaxed and aware of the camera, shifting her face and smiling in an informal backyard moment rather than a staged performance.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include an adult woman in a patterned swimsuit, a green reclining lawn chair, grass, metal chair arms, bright sunlight, soft focus, and close handheld framing.
Film character: The footage has a faded color palette, visible grain, gentle blur, uneven exposure, and the slightly unstable framing associated with small-gauge home-movie film.
Edit role: An editor could use this as a short insert, summer leisure cutaway, domestic memory beat, or transition within a sequence about mid-century recreation or family home movies.
Historical context: The clip visually reflects informal postwar American backyard leisure through clothing, outdoor furniture, and camera intimacy, without identifying the person beyond what is visible.
Research note: An adult face and body are visible, so likeness review may be needed separately from copyright assessment, while no logos, music, children, or clearly identifiable private property are visible in these frames.
Research search match: Likely search matches include 1950s 8mm backyard sunbathing woman, Hatfield Pennsylvania home movie, vintage lawn chair swimsuit footage, and mid-century summer leisure cutaway.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent footage from the same reel, then with other 1956 Hatfield, Pennsylvania material, and then with broader 1950s backyard leisure, swimming, lawn, or summer home-movie scenes.
