Kid In A Bathrobe Modeling At Home — Clip Details

A vintage 8mm home movie clip from Phoenix, Arizona, 1956, showing a young child in a dark blue bathrobe with a white and red bunny design. The child, likely a boy, stands indoors in dim lighting, turning and twisting to model the robe for a family member. The footage captures the soft texture of the fabric, the child's small hands, and the nostalgic charm of a 1950s family moment. The grainy, slightly faded quality and color shifts are characteristic of 8mm film, evoking a sense of innocence and domestic life.

Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: Useful for archive requests needing 1950s American home interiors and a brief domestic childhood clothing or family-life moment from Phoenix, Arizona.
Period detail: The dark blue robe, soft indoor lighting, and home-movie framing may show mid-1950s domestic clothing and casual family filming rather than a staged portrait.
Home-movie behavior: A young child turns close to the camera as if modeling a robe for someone nearby, giving the clip an informal family-observation quality.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include a dark blue bathrobe, small hands, a partial bunny-like patch with red and white detail, close cropped shoulders, dim interior background, and soft motion blur.
Film character: The 8mm image has visible grain, uneven exposure, muted color shifts, and close handheld framing that preserve the texture of scanned physical home-movie film.
Edit role: An editor could use this as a short insert, memory beat, or domestic cutaway within sequences about childhood, family routines, gifts, or 1950s home life.
Historical context: The clip reflects a private family moment in which clothing and gesture are more legible than setting, with no visible public landmark or broader event context.
Research note: People are visible and the subject appears to be a child, so likeness and privacy review may be needed even though no logos, music, or identifiable private-property details are visible in these frames.
Research search match: Researchers might find it through searches for 1956 Phoenix 8mm home movie child bathrobe, 1950s family interior footage, or vintage home movie child modeling clothing.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent shots from the same reel, then other Phoenix 1956 family interiors, then broader 1950s childhood or domestic-clothing home-movie scenes.
