Parade In A Special Day — Clip Details

Vintage 8mm footage from California in 1961 captures a lively parade float adorned with red flowers and a banner reading 'DISTRICT 10 KENTUCKY' and 'OLD KENTUCKY'. Participants wear elaborate period costumes, including a woman in a white ball gown with a pink hat, another in a vibrant pink dress, and a man in a black tuxedo. The float moves through a street lined with spectators, with a historic monument visible in the background. The grainy, color-bleached quality of the Super 8 film evokes strong 1960s nostalgia, capturing a moment of community celebration and retro Americana.
