Nearly all of this footage is wildlife on the open savanna, some of it filmed from a moving vehicle. Herds of wildebeest and zebra graze across the plains, a large group of buffalo rests in green grass, and lone giraffes walk past acacia trees. Lions turn up in several reels: a lioness yawning on bare ground, two females walking past grazing antelope, and a group feeding on a zebra at dusk.

Other clips show two cheetahs resting in the grass, hyenas lying in dry brush, an elephant with a calf, a topi standing alert and a pair of large bustards on foot. Along the water, hippos bob in the Mara River and wade through a marsh, crocodiles bask near a rocky bank, and flamingos wade in a shallow lake.

Several reels were shot in fading evening light, with lions and herds half lost in grain. There are also sunsets behind trees and a bumpy drive down a dirt road. The set suits 1980s safari travel stories and East African wildlife sequences.
